Who wants Pete Sampras’ Trophies?
In an interview published in the Men’s Journal, Stan Wawrinka, the Australian Open 2014 champion was asked who his favorite player was when he was a kid.
“Sampras,” Wawrinka said. “Always Pete Sampras.”
“You know the quote, right?” I asked. “Sampras said after Australia that he wished he had your backhand.”
He cracked up.
“Yeah, and I want his trophies.”
